Hives

Hives or the formation of hives in animals is an allergic reaction of the skin to parasites, insect bites or medication. The formation of wheals is best known under the term urticaria (hives). Dogs in particular are often affected because they like to bathe and thus come into contact with parasites in puddles and water. This can cause redness, wheals and itching, especially on the dog’s face. But food allergens and stress in the animal can also be a trigger for hives.
