Regulatory system

The term “regulatory system” or “basic regulatory system” is used by veterinarians and veterinary practitioners who follow an alternative and/or complementary medicine approach. Often the terms are used in combination with “regulation therapy”.

Regulation therapy is often accompanied by standardised diagnostics and therapy from conventional medicine. It should consider external and internal influences that could be responsible for a lack of regulation of the animal or the trigger of a disease process.

External influences are e.g. environmental toxins, additives in feed, but also heavy metals. Internal influences are e.g. chronic inflammations, a disturbed acid-base balance, but also psychological influences such as stress in the animal.
