Visceral

When veterinarians talk about “visceral” or “visceral diseases”, they are talking about something affecting the viscera. The term is often used in visceral surgery or in connection with visceral osteopathy. Visceral surgery deals, for example, with operations in the area of the liver, intestines, stomach but also the oesophagus. Visceral osteopathy, on the other hand, deals with the mobility of the internal organs and the merging of the musculoskeletal system with the organ system.
