Wound healing

In wound healing, a distinction is made between two types of wound healing depending on the severity of the wound. Primary wound healing is used for minor injuries. For example, in the case of light, not so deep, cuts. The healing process of such injuries is usually quick and without serious complications for the animal. Secondary wound healing, on the other hand, is used for more severe injuries. For example, deep cuts where the edge of the wound has also been irregularly torn open. Such injuries must be treated by veterinary medicine. The healing process is more complicated, the degree of infection higher and the treatment more protracted than in primary wound healing.
